A Dual-band Inverted F Antenna with L-slots for WLAN

Abstract


A new dual-band Inverted F antenna with two slots is presented for wireless local area network (WLAN). Compared with common Inverted F antenna, the improved antenna can work at dual band by adding L-slots in top parasitic elements. Simulations with Ansoft HFSS indicate that the -10 dB impedance bandwidth can reach2.30-2.57/5.14-5.44GHz that covers the WLAN dual-band of 2.4-2.484/5.15-5.35GHz. The presented antenna has low profile and perfect radiation pattern.
