Abstract

Ecological civilization construction is an important issue of human development. In order to effectively evaluate the level of ecological civilization construction in domestic regions, we proposed an evaluation scheme based on principal component analysis. In view of too many evaluation indicators of ecological civilization construction and large amount of calculation, we selected representative 10 provinces and cities in China as an example, using principal component analysis method to evaluate the level of ecological civilization construction in the ten regions. The method used the idea of dimension reduction, described the multi indexes with a few principal components, and solved the problem conveniently and effectively, drawing a score ranking on the level of ecological civilization construction of the ten regions. According to the total score ranking and the score of each principal component, we proposed some suggestions on regional ecological civilization construction. The experimental results are consistent with the actual situation, and the method is effective.
