Abstract

According to the theory of social stratification, this paper makes a comparative analysis of the scientific community between China and the United States. The study shows that there are some outstanding issues in China, such as a lack of world's top scientific elites, the slow growth of young scientists and few scientific and technological cooperations. In view of the problems, this paper puts forward three specific proposals: optimizing the allocation of high-tech talents, optimizing the age structure of scientific and technological elite group, and strengthening scientific exchanges.
