Social Support of Special Education: A Survey of 124 Exceptional Children
Abstract
This article revises a social support rating scale for special education and searches for 124 exceptional children who are from Sichuan Province to complete the questionnaire. It describes the general situation of social support in the field of special education by quantitative study and finds the problems in the current social support. In special education, there is still less support on economic supply, education aid, emotional care and information access which exceptional children could get. The Education assistance from family and school, which could be felt by exceptional children, is more than that from community, social organization or government. The support utilization about special education of exceptional children’s families is not enough.
