The Application and Case Analysis of Constructivism Teaching Method in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language

Abstract


Constructivism Teaching Method takes students as the center and teacher as the leading factor, it can be used in the course of teaching Chinese as the second language, it promotes the students' Chinese learning efficiency and propagate the Chinese culture effectively. It mainly includes the Scaffolding Instruction and Anchored Instruction, the two methods pay attention to cultivate student’s independent learning ability and innovation ability. It is important for Chinese learners to learn basic knowledge, develop basic skills and forming Chinese communicative competence. At the same time, it can improve the understanding of China's national conditions and culture. The analysis has the enlightenment function for the teaching practice.
